What is included
Every current Node One package includes the following core items:
- Node One with a 7-inch touchscreen, or Node One XL with a 10.1-inch touchscreen
- Power supply
- One TP-Link Tapo smart plug
- One Reef Trak Premium lifetime redemption code
Before you begin
- Have your home Wi-Fi name and password ready.
- For the current guided setup, install Reef Trak on a phone, sign in, and have the app ready to create a pairing code.
- Power on the reef equipment you want Node One to find and connect it to the same home network.
- Keep the Matter setup code printed on the included Tapo plug nearby.
Power on Node One

Connect power
Connect the supplied power supply to Node One, then plug it into the wall.

Wait for Node OS
The screen shows the Node One splash and then opens the dashboard.

Open setup on a phone or computer
The guided setup pages run in a browser on your phone or computer. The Node One display itself opens the dashboard.

Welcome
Select Get started.

Join Wi-Fi
Choose your Wi-Fi, enter the password, and follow the switch-over card. Your phone briefly losing the Node setup network is normal.

Link the companion
In Reef Trak, create a pairing code. Enter it on Link it to Reef Trak, then select Link and continue.

Find equipment
On Finding your equipment, wait for your devices to appear, then select These are mine, keep going.

Choose what leaves home
On Choose what to monitor, select the readings you want shared with Reef Trak. The running count shows exactly how many will be sent.

Name devices
Give each device a useful name, then select Finish setup.

Open the dashboard
When Your reef is online. appears, select Open your Command Center.
Add the included Tapo plug

Open Add Equipment
From the Node tab, select Add Equipment.

Choose Matter
Select Add a Matter device.

Enter the code
Type the setup code printed on the plug. Node One adopts it over Bluetooth and shows a five-step progress ladder.

Reset and retry if needed
If adoption fails, hold the plug button for about 10 seconds to return it to setup mode, then retry.
Shut down safely
Node One has no physical power switch. Always shut down Node OS before unplugging it.

Open power controls
Select the power button in the dashboard header.

Choose Shut down
Confirm Shut down and wait for Safe to unplug.

Disconnect power
Unplug Node One only after the safe-to-unplug message appears. To turn it on again, plug it back in.
