Open Add Equipment

Use Add Equipment in the browser dashboard, or the Add tile under Node, to open every owner-facing connection path.

Automatic discovery

Supported equipment on the same local network can appear by itself. Select a discovered row to begin the setup path available for that device.

Add a Matter device

  1. 1

    Select Add a Matter device

Open the Matter setup-code field from Add Equipment.

  2. 2

    Enter the printed code

Type the setup code from the device label or card.

  3. 3

    Watch the progress ladder

Node One uses Bluetooth for adoption and narrates the five setup stages.

  4. 4

    Reset if setup fails

Hold the accessory button for about 10 seconds to return it to setup mode, then retry.

Add a Shelly device

A discovered Shelly appears in Add Equipment. For a factory-fresh plug, Node One can join the plug's setup signal, teach it your Wi-Fi, and bring it back onto the home network.

  • Use Add a Shelly by address when your network hides automatic discovery.
  • Keep the Shelly powered and near reliable Wi-Fi while adoption runs.
  • Wait for Node One to finish every narrated step before unplugging the device.

Edit or remove equipment

  • Name: enter a useful name, then select Save.
  • What is it: choose the equipment type that best matches the device.
  • Tank: file the device onto a tank when more than one tank is available.
  • Remove: select Remove..., then Tap again to remove. A removed Matter device returns to setup mode.

Online and offline states

The Alerts tab separates a value problem from a communication problem.

Advanced access

Node One keeps its underlying open platform out of the everyday owner experience. Experts can use the Advanced door, but controls in that separate environment are not Node One features and are outside this manual.
