Appearance

Pomacentrus smithi is a small damselfish with a vibrant pink to magenta body coloration, particularly along the head and upper body. The body is laterally compressed with a small terminal mouth, and juveniles may display darker markings or bars.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, and frozen foods such as mysis shrimp and copepods. Occasional vegetable matter like spirulina is beneficial. Feed 1-2 times daily in portions the fish can consume within a few minutes.
