Appearance

A small, vibrant damselfish with bright electric blue coloration covering the body, fins, and head. The body is compact and laterally compressed with a blunt snout. Adults display intense iridescent blue throughout, lacking distinct markings or stripes.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, offer high-quality marine flake foods, small pellets, and frozen foods such as mysis shrimp and finely chopped vegetables. Feed twice daily in portions the fish can consume in 2–3 minutes.

Difficulty and care for the Blue Devil Damselfish

Moderately challenging due to aggressive territorial behavior. Best suited for established tanks with experienced hobbyists who can manage its dominance toward other fish, particularly during feeding and breeding.
