Appearance

Small damselfish with a dark body (brown to dark gray) marked by a prominent blue-ringed ocellus (eye-spot) on the rear of the dorsal fin. Body is compressed laterally with a slightly forked tail.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, and frequent live or frozen microfauna (copepods, brine shrimp, amphipods). Offer vegetable matter including spirulina-based foods 2–3 times weekly.
