Keeper notes
Lays hard white eggs but larvae need brackish water, so it will not overrun a freshwater tank. A nerite with orange-and-black tiger banding, identical in care to the zebra nerite. Excellent algae grazer and fully plant-safe; needs hard alkaline water for shell health. Copper sensitive — no copper meds. Eggs won't hatch in freshwater, so it stays a non-breeding cleanup snail.
