Keeper notes

Larvae require brackish/saltwater to develop, so it will NOT overrun a freshwater tank; effectively non-breeding in home aquaria. The premier algae-eating shrimp, larger and hardier than dwarf shrimp and tolerant of a wide range of stable freshwater. Excellent on hair and soft algae but will need supplemental feeding in clean tanks. Copper sensitive — never use copper meds. Larvae need brackish water to survive, so they cannot establish breeding populations in freshwater.
