Keeper notes

Lays eggs but larvae need brackish water, so it will not overrun a freshwater tank. A plain olive-green nerite, one of the most efficient algae grazers and completely plant-safe. Needs hard, alkaline water for healthy shell growth and an algae-rich tank. Copper sensitive — avoid copper meds. Eggs won't hatch in freshwater, keeping numbers self-limiting.
