Keeper notes

Breeds readily in freshwater; female carries eggs and releases fully-formed miniature crayfish. A small, brightly orange dwarf crayfish that, unlike full-size crays, is largely peaceful and generally safe with plants and most fish. Provide hard alkaline water, plenty of hiding caves, and a calcium source for molting. It may occasionally catch a sick fish or a molting shrimp but rarely damages healthy tankmates or plants. Copper sensitive — like all inverts, no copper meds.
