Keeper notes
Breeds readily in freshwater; berried females carry eggs ~30 days and release fully-formed shrimplets. The hardiest beginner dwarf shrimp; thrives in stable hard, neutral-to-slightly-alkaline water. Keep in a mature, well-planted tank with biofilm and offer algae, biofilm, and supplemental shrimp food. Extremely copper sensitive — never use copper-based fish medications. Avoid all but the smallest, peaceful tankmates as adults and fry are easily eaten.
