Appearance

The Yellowbar Angelfish displays a striking dark blue to black body with bold yellow vertical bars running across the head and body. Adults develop an elegant vertical stripe pattern with yellow markings, while juveniles show more extensive yellow coloration and may have a different bar pattern.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality angelfish-specific pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and vitamin-enriched fare. Supplement with marine algae preparations and blanched vegetables occasionally. Feed 1-2 times daily in amounts consumed within 2-3 minutes.
