Appearance

The Blueface Angelfish has a distinctive bright yellow body with an iridescent blue face and blue accents on the dorsal and anal fins. Juveniles display vertical blue and yellow banding that fades as they mature into the characteristic yellow-and-blue adult coloration.

Diet and feeding

Marine algae, zooxanthellae, sponges, corals, benthic invertebrates, foraminifera, echinoderms, and small fishes (such as damselfish).
