Appearance
Bright yellow body with a distinctive black mask across the eyes and a black vertical band running from the dorsal fin down the flank. The anal and pelvic fins are also yellow with black edging.
Diet and feeding
Omnivorous with a preference for sponges and tunicates in the wild. In captivity, feed high-quality angelfish preparations, frozen mysis shrimp, and spirulina-based foods. Supplement with sponge-based pellets and occasional live or frozen brine shrimp.
Difficulty and care for the Arabian Angelfish
Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
