Appearance

Yellow Basslet is a small serranid with bright yellow to golden coloration throughout the body and fins. The fish has an elongated, streamlined body typical of basslets, with a slightly pointed snout and displays subtle darker markings or stripes under certain lighting.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed small meaty foods including finely chopped seafood, frozen copepods, mysis shrimp, and high-quality carnivore pellets. Yellow Basslets are micropredators in the wild and should be fed small portions appropriate to their tiny mouth size.
