Appearance
Centropyge flavicauda is a small pygmy angelfish with a bright yellow body and the characteristic white or pale tail that gives it its common name. The fish has a rounded body shape typical of the genus, with vertical banding patterns visible on the head and anterior body, and a distinctive pale caudal fin that contrasts sharply with the vibrant yellow coloration of the rest of the body.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied diet including high-quality flake foods, small pellets, frozen preparations (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp), and supplemental vegetation such as spirulina or nori. Feed 1-2 times daily in quantities they can consume within a few minutes.
