Appearance
The Bandit Angelfish is a yellow-bodied pomacanthid with a distinctive black vertical band crossing the eye, resembling a mask or bandit stripe. It has dark dorsal and anal fins and a yellow caudal fin. The body is deep laterally compressed with the characteristic angelfish profile.
Diet and feeding
Offer a varied diet of high-quality flake and pellet foods supplemented with frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and marine algae. Feed 2–3 times daily in appropriate portions.
Difficulty and care for the Bandit Angelfish
Moderately challenging. The Bandit Angelfish requires stable water conditions, adequate space, and careful selection of tankmates. It is hardier than many pygmy angelfish but less forgiving than dwarf angelfish in smaller systems.
