Appearance
The Spotted Oceanic Triggerfish has a robust, compressed body with grayish-brown coloration covered in numerous dark spots. The first dorsal fin is prominent and can be locked into an upright position. This pelagic triggerfish develops a relatively streamlined profile compared to reef-dwelling triggerfish species.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality meaty foods such as marine fish, squid, shrimp, and other crustaceans. Multiple daily feedings help satisfy the predatory appetite of this aggressive species.
