Appearance

A robust triggerfish with a distinctive dark blue to grayish-blue body featuring bright blue lines running along the face and gill covers. The dorsal and anal fins are edged in blue, and the fish has a characteristic blocky head and powerful jaws adapted for crushing hard-bodied prey.

Diet and feeding

Feed meaty foods including squid, shrimp, crab, and other crustaceans, as well as hard-shelled mollusks. Supplement occasionally with quality carnivore pellets formulated for triggerfishes.
