Appearance

A compact triggerfish with olive-green to dark brown body coloring and distinctive golden-yellow margins on the dorsal and anal fins. The face is blunt with a small mouth, and the eye is positioned high on the head.

Diet and feeding

A carnivore that feeds on hard-shelled invertebrates (crustaceans, mollusks, echinoderms) and small fish in the wild. In captivity, offer varied meaty foods including frozen shrimp, squid, crab, and quality pellets designed for carnivorous fish.
