Appearance

Dark blue to blue-black body with six prominent vertical white or pale blue stripes running across the head and body. The dorsal and anal fins are elongated with pointed tips, and the overall body shape is compressed and oval.

Omnivorous, requiring a varied diet of high-quality flake foods, pellets, and meaty items such as mysis shrimp and chopped squid. Supplement with vegetable matter including spirulina and macroalgae.
