Appearance
The Scribbled Angelfish is a striking yellow fish with bold, dark blue or black concentric scribble-like markings covering the body and fins. It has the characteristic deep, laterally compressed body shape of the pomacanthid family, with a pointed snout and a continuous dorsal fin. Adults display intricate wave or maze-like patterns that intensify with age.
Diet and feeding
Scribbled Angelfish are omnivores that feed on sponges, tunicates, and algae in the wild. In captivity, offer a varied diet of high-quality angelfish pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and vegetable matter such as nori or blanched spinach several times daily.
