Appearance

The Ballina Angelfish displays a predominantly yellow-gold body with distinctive white and dark blue or black vertical bars along the flanks. The dorsal and anal fins are yellow with blue accents, and the tail fin is yellow. The face typically exhibits white coloration with dark markings, and the fish has the characteristic rounded body shape of medium-sized pomacanthid angelfish.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of quality angelfish pellets or flakes, supplemented with blanched vegetables (nori), spirulina, and occasional frozen meaty foods such as mysis shrimp and brine shrimp.
