Appearance
The Scarlet Soldierfish is a deep-red to crimson colored fish with a compressed, laterally flattened body and large eyes adapted to low light. It has spiny dorsal and anal fins, silvery-white fin margins, and a distinctive pattern of darker stripes along the body, with the overall coloration being bright red to orange-red.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small crustaceans. Offer food items appropriate to mouth size. Feed 2–3 times daily in smaller portions.
