Origin and habitat

The Holocentrus crownedfish is native to the western Atlantic Ocean, primarily found along the Caribbean coastlines of Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Colombia, and Venezuela, as well as the coasts of Panama and the Gulf of Mexico in the United States. Their depth range typically extends from shallow coastal waters to around 30 meters.
