Quick facts
Appearance
The Regal Angelfish displays striking vertical blue and yellow stripes running along its compressed body, with orange and white accents on the face and gill covers. It has a distinctive blue ringed eye and a rounded dorsal fin. This medium-sized pomacanthid is unmistakable due to its bold, contrasting color pattern.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied diet of high-quality flake food, pellets, and frozen foods including mysis shrimp, copepods, and spirulina-based foods. In the wild they feed on sponges, tunicates, and small crustaceans; captive specimens should receive at least once-daily feedings with quality marine omnivore formulas.
