Appearance
A striking triggerfish with a robust, compressed body displaying bold abstract markings in white, yellow, blue, and black. Named for its Picasso-like facial pattern, it features a steep forehead, underslung mouth, and a distinctive white-and-black stripe pattern running vertically through the eye and gill area.
Diet and feeding
Picasso Triggerfish are carnivorous and feed on hard-shelled invertebrates, crustaceans, and mollusks in the wild. In captivity, offer meaty foods including frozen-thawed shrimp, squid, mussel, and quality pellets; supplement with live food occasionally to encourage natural foraging behavior.
