Appearance
A small dwarf angelfish with a distinctive dark body coloration ranging from charcoal to nearly black, with numerous white to pearl-colored spots and scales that give it its common name. The dorsal and anal fins display striking yellow or golden edging. Adults reach approximately 5 inches and have the characteristic angelfish body shape with a single dorsal spine.
Diet and feeding
Offer a varied diet of high-quality pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and frozen brine shrimp. Supplement with sponge-based foods and occasional vegetable matter (spirulina, nori) to support natural grazing behavior.
