Appearance
The Masked Angelfish is a striking deep-water pomacanthid featuring a predominantly white or pale yellow body with a distinctive black mask across the face and upper head region. Adults display elegant coloration with flowing dorsal and anal fins. The species is sexually dimorphic, with males typically displaying more vivid yellow-orange coloring on the face and body compared to females.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied omnivorous diet including high-quality prepared foods (Spirulina-based pellets and flakes), mysis shrimp, and occasional marine algae preparations. Offer food 1–2 times daily in small portions, as wild populations feed opportunistically in deep water.
