Adults display elegant coloration with flowing dorsal and anal fins. The species is sexually dimorphic, with males typically displaying more vivid yellow-orange coloring on the face and body compared to females.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied omnivorous diet including high-quality prepared foods (Spirulina-based pellets and flakes), mysis shrimp, and occasional marine algae preparations. Offer food 1–2 times daily in small portions, as wild populations feed opportunistically in deep water.
