Appearance

Deep blue body with bright yellow vertical stripes and yellow-orange trim on dorsal and anal fins; rounded body shape typical of pomacanthid angels. Highly distinctive striking coloration distinguishes it from other angelfish.

Diet and feeding

Omnivore in nature, feeding on sponges, tunicates, and organic matter. In captivity, feed high-quality angelfish preparations, sponge-based foods, mysis shrimp, and occasional vegetable matter. Feed 1-2 times daily.
