Appearance

Small, slender basslet with lyrate (crescent-shaped) tail. Base coloration is rosy-pink with distinctive orange-red markings on the head, dorsal fin, and a characteristic crescent pattern on the tail. The body tapers toward the rear with a graceful, elongated profile.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including frozen mysis shrimp, frozen copepods, and high-quality micro pellets. This small plankti-carnivore benefits from frequent small feedings that mimic natural grazing on zooplankton and small crustaceans.
