Appearance
Males display deep orange-red body coloration with bright purple or violet markings on the face and dorsal spines; females are yellowish-orange with less prominent purple patterning. The body is elongate and laterally compressed, with a pointed snout typical of anthias.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and copepods 2–3 times daily. Supplement with occasional quality flake or pellet foods formulated for zooplankton feeders. Live copepods in the tank help sustain them between feedings.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
