Appearance
A small, slender anthias with elongated dorsal and pelvic fins. Males display vibrant red coloration with white or yellow accents on the fins; females are orange-yellow. Both sexes have distinctive elongated fin rays, particularly in the dorsal fin.
Diet and feeding
Zooplankton, small crustaceans (mysid shrimp), marine invertebrates, polychaete worms, and various fish eggs for Pseudanthias ventralis diet in the wild and aquariums.
