Appearance
Elongated oval shape, vibrant blue-green body with prominent yellow bars and a white stripe along the caudal peduncle (near the tail). Distinctive black spots on dorsal, anal, and caudal fins.
Diet and feeding
Marine algae, small crustaceans (such as mysis shrimp), and coral polyps in the wild. In aquariums, they may also consume marine-based seaweed, brine shrimp, and prepared fish foods designed for herbivorous or omnivorous reef fish.
