Appearance
The Golden-Spotted Angelfish is a medium-sized pomacanthid with a deep, laterally compressed body. Coloration is predominantly dark blue to blue-black with distinctive golden or yellow spots scattered across the face, body, and fins. Adults display yellow accents on the pectoral and dorsal fin edges.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality omnivore preparations (pellets and flakes), frozen foods (mysis shrimp, chopped squid), and regular offerings of marine macroalgae. Sponge-based foods are particularly beneficial to mimic natural feeding behavior.
