Quick facts
Appearance
The Conspicuous Angelfish displays a striking blue-black body with distinctive bright yellow or white markings on the head and face, including a characteristic eye-ring pattern. The body is laterally compressed with a rounded profile typical of pomacanthid angelfish. Adults exhibit bold vertical bars or streaks on the flanks that intensify with maturity.
Diet and feeding
Provide a varied diet including high-quality angelfish pellets, spirulina-based foods, and occasional frozen offerings such as mysis shrimp and finely chopped seafood. Supplement with vegetable matter and marine algae. Feed 2–3 times daily in appropriate portions.
