HYDROS handles control. Reef Trak handles records.
HYDROS controls equipment in real time and stores recent probe data. Reef Trak tracks the long-term reef-keeping history. Parameters from any source, dosing, livestock, equipment, maintenance, expenses, and TrakAI exports.
How HYDROS and Reef Trak work together
Reef Trak imports HYDROS probe readings (pH, temperature, salinity, ORP) through the HYDROS API on a regular cadence. They appear in Reef Trak's parameter history automatically, alongside manual test results.
Then you get everything in one connected record. HYDROS probe data plus kit-based testing plus dosing logs plus livestock additions plus equipment maintenance. TrakAI exports the combined history for AI analysis.
When you should add Reef Trak to a HYDROS setup
- You want parameter history beyond what HYDROS retains.
- You test alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, or phosphate with kits.
- You log dosing, livestock, equipment, or maintenance events.
- You want a Web Portal at reeftrak.com to view tank data from a desktop.
- You want to export combined tank history to AI engines for analysis.
Setup
In Reef Trak, go to Settings, then Controllers, then HYDROS. Sign in. Pick which HYDROS unit and probes to import. Done.
