Diet and feeding

Primarily herbivorous, grazing on microalgae and diatoms. Supplement with blanched spinach, lettuce, or nori sheets. Benefits from spirulina-based algae wafers.

Origin and habitat

Western Atlantic, from North Carolina south to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.
