Indo-Pacific region, including coral reef systems from the Red Sea to Australia and Hawaii.

• Minimum 20 gallon tank • Requires strong, indirect water flow to feed but not so strong as to damage fragile branches • Maintain temperature 72–78°F and pH 8.1–8.3 • Prefers established tanks with adequate microplankton and phytoplankton; may benefit from occasional liquid phytoplankton dosing • Nocturnal feeders; dim lighting conditions preferred
