Breeds in freshwater in soft acidic water; black-and-white version of the crystal line. The black-and-white counterpart to Crystal Red, with identical care needs. Use soft, acidic RO-remineralized water over active substrate and keep parameters rock-steady. Feed biofilm and shrimp-specific foods. Copper sensitive — avoid all copper medications.
