Larvae require brackish water to develop, so it will not breed in a freshwater aquarium. A large filter-feeding shrimp that fans the water column with feathery appendages to catch suspended food, so it needs good flow and a food-rich, mature tank. If it is seen scavenging the substrate it is usually starving; target-feed powdered/suspended foods. Copper sensitive — no copper meds. Peaceful and best kept in groups.
