Appearance

A small, elongated fish with vibrant yellow coloration throughout the body and fins. The Yellow Assessor has a slightly flattened lateral profile and a small, slightly upturned mouth adapted for feeding near the water column and substrate.

Diet and feeding

Feed small frozen and prepared carnivorous foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and quality micro-pellets. The Yellow Assessor is a benthic forager and will pick small crustaceans and zooplankton from rockwork and the substrate in captivity.
