Appearance

A small basslet with vibrant coloration featuring longitudinal yellow and red/orange stripes running along the body. The dorsal and caudal fins are typically red to orange, and the fish has a somewhat compressed, elongated body typical of the Serranidae family.

Diet and feeding

Feeds on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, offer high-quality frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and small meaty preparations. May accept small pellets. Feed 1-2 times daily.
