Appearance
The Wartskin Angler is a small, stocky frogfish with a rounded body covered in wart-like tubercles and protrusions, typically tan, brown, or reddish in coloration with darker markings. It has a distinctive illicium (fishing rod) with a modified dorsal spine extending from its head, and a large hinged mouth for ambush feeding.
Diet and feeding
Feed small live or frozen foods such as small fish, crustaceans, and mysid shrimp. May also accept appropriately-sized prepared meaty foods. Hand-feeding or feeding with a turkey baster often necessary to trigger feeding response.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
Origin and habitat
Indo-Pacific region from the Red Sea and East Africa through the Indian Ocean to the Western and Central Pacific, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia.
