Zooplankton, small crustaceans (such as mysid shrimp), and small fish (like sardines) in the wild. In aquariums, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and prepared marine-based fish foods are typically fed to Pterois andover.

Origin and habitat

Specifically, it inhabits the coasts of countries such as Australia, Japan, South Africa, and several islands in between. The depth range for this species varies from shallow reefs to a maximum of 30 meters.
