Appearance
The Luna Lionfish is a small scorpaenid with an elongated body, fan-like pectoral fins with venomous spines, and distinctive feathery dorsal-fin filaments. It exhibits mottled brown, tan, and white coloration with banding patterns that provide excellent camouflage against reef substrates.
Diet and feeding
Zooplankton, small crustaceans, marine worms, brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, mollusks, and various types of fish meat in both wild and aquarium environments.
