Appearance
The Clearfin Lionfish features a distinctive reddish or brown body with white/cream bands and fan-like pectoral and dorsal fins with venomous spines. The pectoral fins are notably more translucent than those of other lionfish species, giving it its "clearfin" common name.
Diet and feeding
Carnivorous; feed live or frozen small fish, shrimp, and other small crustaceans. In captivity, offer 2-3 times weekly, adjusting based on the fish's appetite and size.
