Appearance
A small, deep-bodied basslet with vibrant orange-red coloration and distinctive white vertical stripes or bands along the body. The mouth is relatively large, and the species has the compact profile typical of Liopropoma genus members.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied carnivorous diet of high-quality frozen meaty foods including mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small pieces of fish flesh. Can be conditioned to accept quality pellets. Feed once daily or divide into small portions 2–3 times daily.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
