Appearance
Starck's Tilefish is a small, stout-bodied fish with a prominent head and large mouth. It displays yellow-gold coloration on the body with blue spotting and striping on the face and gill covers, with a characteristic dark stripe running through the eye.
Diet and feeding
Offer small meaty foods including mysis shrimp, copepods, and finely chopped seafood. Feed 2-3 times daily in small portions, as they are specialized feeders adapted to consuming zooplankton and small crustaceans in the wild.
