Appearance
Marcos' Tilefish is a small, stocky fish with a pale tan to yellowish body and distinctive red or orange striping along the gill covers and head. It has a blunt snout and relatively large eyes, with the characteristic tilefish body shape built for burrowing.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including finely chopped frozen mysis shrimp, copepods, and small frozen foods. Offer 1-2 times daily in small portions; this species prefers to feed near its burrow and may be hesitant to take food in open water.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
