Appearance

The Splendid Dottyback is a small, brilliantly colored fish with a deep purple or violet body contrasted by bright yellow or orange stripes and fin edging. The dorsal fin is yellow-orange, creating a striking visual distinction against the dark body coloration.

Feed small meaty foods including finely chopped frozen shrimp, mysis shrimp, and high-quality carnivore pellets. Supplement with small live prey such as copepods or amphipods when available.
